Our Farm is located on 43+ acres in Fairburn, our farm is nestled conveniently to just about anywhere.  Our clients come from Fayetteville, Douglasville, Fairburn, Palmetto, Peachtree City, Sharpsburg, and even parts of Newnan, Atlanta, College Park, and East Point!
We focus on equine education as a whole.  Care of our horses and riders is always first-rate, and first in mind.  We strive daily for horse and rider comfort and well-being.

Our Riding Program...
We offer riding lessons for anyone interested, ages 3 and up, as well as beginner, intermediate, and advanced riders, with or without their own horse.  Lessons include basic horse care, tacking up, and riding.  Please see the fee schedule for rates, as they vary in time, number, and ages.

Due to large amounts of interest and demand locally, along with  Sara's love of special needs children, we added a therapeutic horsemanship program to our center in November 2009.

(We try to make it to the showgrounds once a month, but showing is not in anyway required nor necessary....those who want to go are gladly taken, and those who want to sit and watch are always welcome.  We pride ourselves on the relaxed, no pressure environment that we have dedicated ourselves to maintaining.)

Our Trainer...

Sara Carter has been riding since before she could walk and has been teaching for 19 years to date.  Over the years, she has helped many achieve their dreams of becoming part of the horse world.   Her skill list includes: Dressage, eventing, jumpers, hunters, hunter jumpers, equitation, hunters under saddle, equitation over fences,  basic western, gaited horses, pleasure riding, round penning, problem solving , colt starting, trailer breaking, teaching special needs children, and confidence building skills with fearful riders.

She is now an official Special Olympic Coach, and is a NARHA (North American Riding for the Handicapped Association) Instructor-in-training; she completed NARHA's certification process in May 2010.  Haven Hills Therapeutic Riding Center became a NARHA (North American Riding for the Handicapped Association) center December 2009!

Her current list of  skills continues to grow as she works towards her Third Level German Classical Dressage Certification with her mares, Veronica and Nico's Triple Delight as well as continuing her NARHA education (handicapped horsemanship)...and loving it!!!
(Veronica enjoying a much cooler season...she LOVES the snow!)

 Our Instructors...

Melissa Kauffman has been riding for 17 years. She has always had a love for horses and riding, and shares a common bond with Sara to constantly educate herself. She found her passion for teaching while in the Air Force. Melissa is currently attending school at Georgia State University and graduates May 2012. After graduation she intends on becoming a full time
 instructor.

Melissa and Sara are a wonderful team of teachers for children, adults, and horses as one.  Both share the common philosophy that the best riding experience is possible through learning tasks in systematic, fun ways.
